GTA 6 platforms and editions: PS5, Xbox and what is included

Rockstar has confirmed GTA VI for PS5 and Xbox Series X|S, with Standard and Ultimate Editions. Before you order, the biggest detail to know is what comes in the physical box.

Which platforms are confirmed?

Rockstar lists PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S for the November 19, 2026 launch. Its current platform and edition guide does not list a PC release, so there is no official PC launch date to put on your calendar.

Standard versus Ultimate Edition

The Standard Edition includes the game. The Ultimate Edition includes the game and an upgrade with extra vehicles, weapons, styles and other items that Rockstar says are uncovered across Jason and Lucia’s story.

Rockstar says Standard owners can purchase the Ultimate Edition Upgrade separately through the PlayStation or Microsoft stores. That means you can decide on the extras later.

What is in the physical box?

Rockstar’s support page says the physical version contains a digital download code and no disc. The box is expected to be available from retailers starting November 12 to support preloading. A physical Ultimate Edition is not listed; physical Standard owners can buy the digital upgrade after redeeming their code.

Preorder bonuses and region checks

Rockstar lists a Vintage Vice City Pack for eligible early purchases, including a vehicle and garage, outfits and hairstyles, and a weapon pattern. Its support page also lists one month of GTA+ for eligible digital purchases before November 20. Read the terms on your own store listing before buying.
